While the general outlook for 2013 appears somewhat chaotic, there is a degree of certainty in human resources. The seven cultural, social and digital trends discussed in this article are not likely to make you drop your new tablet in surprise, since they are already a fact of life.
However, the way they play out is much more likely to rattle you. As economist John Maynard Keynes noted, “The difficulty lies not so much in developing new ideas as in escaping from old ones.”
